It's funny how those shots of Boots and H. Samuel could have been filmed yesterday, really shows how little has changed in 55 years, and how dated their shops look today.

This probably belongs in the other thread, but the Claire's shop in Chesterfield is seriously stuck in the late 90's.

But seriously though, it just seems like they sell overpriced tat to me. I understand they are targeting a certain demographic but I am not exactly sure whom. I highly doubt kids ...

Wow, this is certainly not what I expected. Some of this stuff actually looks quite nice. That Driscoll's display though is like going back in time with the artificial plants.

I've noticed a few stores have started to get very utilitarian metal displays for produce. On first sight I thought they were left over from the 'misted veg' era but I'm pretty sure they're new.
