Re: Pres Cafe Watch News and Information Board

which one is he tho? Admin, Moderator 1, Moderator 2? Maybe it's all a ruse and it's Asa all along Mwahahaha, I've been unmasked! Although in reality, I have offered up some advice but I'm not involved in the day-to-day running. Been there, done that. The quietness is probably to be expected - it's...

Re: TV Live Forum Watch News and Information Board

It's certainly hard work visiting that thread, trying to glean any kind of new detail or decent opinion. Tends to be the same 'MyNameIsFlop92' type people feeling like need to constantly ask daft questions or chat. Then you've got the nonsense like the "how do you know this?" which is just...

Should be ok now, thanks for flagging it. Users not logged in get a cached version which wasn't updating. Not sure about the login problem though Nick, does the page error or not load? Can't you login via the homepage or http://www.tvforum.co.uk/forums/login ?

Re: Now the other place is down?

All fine now but unfortunately today's posts have been lost. I made a change to get the editing of posts working again but forgot one slightly important line of code which meant the posts table was overwritten. Thankfully a backup from the early hours was available to restore from. Must remember: no...

Re: TV Forum Watch News and Information Board

Very slow for me tonight. There are some ongoing issues which I'm trying to resolve with the hosts. Some code changes to go up this month should also help things along. Tonight's issues relate to networking problems at the London Internet Exchange which I imagine is/was affecting lots of sites. Che...

Re: TV Forum Watch News and Information Board

The sessions table only holds a finite number - this gradually shrinks as time passes but then increases again as people revisit the site, hence the sporadic nature of it. I've cleared the table now and will put something in to limit the chance of it maxing out.

I know I shouldn't influence the vote but I'll add that I'm going to be out for lunch and also have to walk the dog ;)

The longest process is converting the database over to the new format.

Re: The Official OMG TVF IS BROKEN Thread

Normal service has been resumed. Admittedly it was a controversial decision to ban every member in order to stop Jamez spamming the forum and in hindsight we've decided to reverse it ;)

Is DS dying for anyone else after browsing a few pages in IE8? Probably because of the ridiculous number of Flash animations
