I'm not too sure about that, the cards still exist but are extremely rare. You need online authentication to take a payment though - which obviously was a problem.

Debit cards can be used offline.

Re: The Very Official McDonalds (and other fast food outlets) Thread

oh so does silverlink no longer have delivery drivers at it because it was an absolute nightmare last time i went? You really felt you were inconveniencing the drivers by daring to use at is a restaurant. Honestly, not too sure but I know you can't order online from the place at all. It's only 'Sil...

Re: The Very Official McDonalds (and other fast food outlets) Thread

The best way to sort out the delivery problems is to open more dark kitchens and get them out the normal restaurants. I know there's one up here to cover the McDonalds at Silverlink which is, and always has been, one of the busiest in the country. Believe there's a second one at Byker aswell to cove...

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-68295306# Rekom, owner of various night clubs and venues announcing closure of a number of sites. Around me, pretty much all the proper night clubs have closed now - closest at least an hours drive away. Thing is, they never were cheap places to go and now people...

Re: High Street chain collapse sweepstake

It's a pretty shrewd way of getting The Range into the high street using an established brand in Wilko. No surprise that the Plymouth based company will open up two stores in Devon first in Exeter and er...Plymouth. I wonder if one of the two 'South East' openings will be a London store? Not sure w...

Re: High Street chain collapse sweepstake

Not surprising to see that The Range is opening Wilko stores already. Mind I thought it would take longer than they have. Had a feeling they would as they virtually have no high street presence at all. Mind can't see them doing much in the North East as all the good units have been took by Poundland...

Honestly, wouldn't surprise me one bit at all tbh. It's a naff name, bit like the shop really.

Re: High Street chain collapse sweepstake

None of it's in stock yet, but if just half of what's promised materialises then that is *a lot* of own brand GM lines to carry for an online retailer; unless they're planning to put all this Wilko branded stock in to The Range as well? To answer my own question, according to my local terrible qual...

Re: High Street chain collapse sweepstake

I'm not sure Wilko should have it's test server publically live but it 100% is - https://www.wilko-it.com/en-uk/. Definitely not a scam site, just came across it accidently when looking for how to look after some seeds I got from Wilko and it keeps getting updated including having The Range head of...

Re: High Street chain collapse sweepstake

Mind, the Iceland Swift we had at Four Lane Ends was terrible, just expensive and pointless. Now gone and not surprised at all, the Tesco Express along the road was just much better. I've never understood the point of Iceland Swifts - well, not the one in Hounslow anyway. Up the same stretch of roa...
