Re: Old supermarket signage

This has probably been mentioned, but on the outside of the Tesco Express in Swindon "town centre" there is an old rounded-edge rectangle sign with Text in the old Tesco font saying "this store is licensed to trade in game"

Would take a picture but no way my phone is coming out of my pocket there.

A lifetime of training in Woolies and Wilko could not prepare me for the Aladdin's cave that is 4-Gott in Göteborg.

Re: Adverts that irritate and entertain

Slightly offtopic and should probably go on a TV Forum of some kind if there was one around but...

...one of those old advert compilations has gone up on YouTube -- apparently BBC2 / Lambie Nairn let Pizza Hut use not one, not two but three of their ident concepts to flog, to quote Spike from Buffy ...

Re: The Technology Thread

Just upgraded my Xperia 10 mk1 to Xperia 10 mk4. Nice narrow form factor for my tiny hands, all the bells and whistles I need, nice long battery life and 3.5mm jack. Decided not to go mk5 because of a couple of downgrades on the Mk4 model.

Happy enough - it does what I want. Only niggle was seeming ...

One more Tory scorched earth policy before they're booted. It's only being done so that Liebour then have to spend money reinstating them.

Re: Emergency alerts

We don't have tornados, earthquakes or bushfires. We have localised flooding but there are pre-existing, local, targeted systems for that including old WW2 sirens.

What exactly is this for?
