Fair enough. I'm not as anti-apple as my initial comment sounded. I do think the M series macs are really good computers, but i don't want to be in one ecosystem or another, and i can't justify the price.

MacOS is definitely not perfect, but it’s a lot less noisy. I’m still running an M1 16” Macbook pro and it’s still smooth, battery life amazing and no crapware. It’s not for everyone, but it’s considerably more polished than the open source distributions, and a lot less naggy than Windows if all ...
