Re: TV Forum Watch News and Information Board
I've decided to take a backseat over at TV Forum as well. I won't go into the background detail as to why I came to this decision but suffice it to say after 20 years of practically daily contributions, I don't feel particularly inclined to post at the moment. Maybe that will change, but I think for...

Re: TV Forum Watch News and Information Board
I have to say I am quite saddened that Newsroom has been permanently banned from The Newsroom and that JamesWorldNews has seemingly now left TV Forum after 16 years. Two strong contributors to The Newsroom gone in one fell swoop. I always think it's a real shame when the long-term members disappear...

Re: TV Forum Watch News and Information Board
From their ramblings in the thread about the potential new Murdoch news channel, I am now pretty much certain that, as was suggested a few weeks ago, another_beauty is James Martin, back under his umpteenth username. How long until he lets slip with a homophobic rant or praise for Tommy Robinson to...

Re: TV Forum Watch News and Information Board
I noticed that Rolling News has got a week's ban. Is that due to making trouble about the image?

Re: TV Forum Watch News and Information Board
For the first time in ages I'm starting to lose interest again in TV Forum. It went through a fantastic spell when we were all on lockdown with loads of nostalgia threads with some really well-informed, interesting discussion about presentation. I feel that there are maybe three or four members, som...

Re: TV Forum Watch News and Information Board
I agree, I was surprised with how this incident was dealt with. I didn't think it was terribly fair that BBCTelevision got banned. Like you say, James, his/her initial post was pretty inoffensive and anything else was in reply to Conor98's unprovoked attack. Conor98 should definitely have been banne...

Re: TV Forum Watch News and Information Board
I was. It was bizarre, wasn't it? These days I just tend to lurk each day and post every now and then when I've got something to say, but I couldn't help myself last night. The way Conor98 spoke to everyone was terrible and completely unprovoked. Like you say, BBCTelevision's thread/post wasn't part...

Re: The EU
Whilst I dislike what the EU has become, I cannot agree with the notion that it is not appropriate to argue that the EU has prevented further wars breaking out in Europe. You only have to look at history to determine that the single biggest creator of conflict in Europe was intense nationalism and r...

Re: Getting over Grief
TopCat, I really do sympathise with you. I only ever had three grandparents to begin with and I was very, very close to all of them. I lost my grandpa back in 1999, followed by my grandad in 2008 and finally my grandma in January this year. I took all of their deaths very hard - I'd had so much fun ...
