Re: Pres Cafe Watch News and Information Board

Well that's reminded me to book my appointment..
They've sent me numerous letters and text messages that my test is due over the past few months...

Re: The Unofficial Sainsbury's Thread

I suppose it allows them to do an “*excludes Local stores” on adverts if they’re only running an offer in full stores. I don’t think there’s any supermarket with a blanket brand for all stores is there? Not quite a blanket brand but I do think all M&S Simply Foods are just called Simply Foods r...

Re: Pres Cafe Watch News and Information Board

I found this amusing snippet from TVL in my photo archive, apparently it's from January 2022

Re: Old supermarket signage

Oh I do think I've seen those.
I hate when companies try to be 'funny' or 'relatable'. It just rubs me up the wrong way.

Was worse during the pandemic, "we're all in this together" my arse

Re: The Tesco & other non-Morrisons supermarket thread

Not to be a lemon but what do you mean by a paper-based system? Were Safeway using a computerised system which Morrisons switched to paper?

Re: Old supermarket signage

That actually reminds me a few weeks ago I saw a Tesco lorry with the ancient "You shop we drop" tag line on it. What does their new livery look like? If I'm honest off the top of my head I can't remember any other Tesco lorry liveries, apart from the you shop we drop and the one that has ...

Re: Old supermarket signage

You think that's bad, quite a few M&S lorries still have the Only at Your M&S branding on them!

What's slightly worse is that the logo isn't in Helvetica, but Arial.

Re: What happened to TV mocks?

I think mocks certainly have become less mainstream since PC banned it, however I am in a Discord server that has a relatively active mocking/creative section. Instead of the stars we had on TVF, they've replaced by "upvotes". It's active enough that there's been a top-3 mocks and "cr...

Re: Pres Cafe Watch News and Information Board

As unsatisfactory PC may be at times, they've always tolerated my ramblings so I'm grateful for that.. Will admit I've no idea what's gone on behind the scenes or any drama. However for me, I find it much better having just the one forum than the hodgepodge of different forums we had at one time, ev...

Re: Old supermarket signage

The floor tiles in the Foods section in M&S Lewisham has little green diamonds in them - I'm not aware of the vintage but certainly haven't seen them elsewhere. Probably doesn't fall under the remit of 'old signage'. Haven't a picture of them but will make sure to next time I'm in there. On a re...
