Re: Another High Street Rebrand
Until recently you could stream it online, so I guess saying something like that could have been aimed at anyone who listened that way (if anyone did!), but I can't find a stream any more.

Re: Another High Street Rebrand
And speaking of ASDA, they've also recently changed their in-store ASDA radio. They don't play 'proper' songs anymore, just random 'license-free' style music like what Matalan, B&Q, etc. play. Do they, I completely failed to notice that when I've been in there recently. Whereas whenever I went ...

Re: Old supermarket signage
If you pan a bit to the right, you can see a sign pointing to the M&S staff car park with their pre-2000 logo on as well. From what I've seen, I think that Hedge End store was, when it first opened in late 1991, the first to have the "J Sainsbury" signage in orange, rather then yellow....

Re: Old supermarket signage
I didn't even know there ever was a homebase there! It was gone by 2008, the furthest back Google streetview went, and I've only been going to Dundee since 2011 so never saw it.

Re: Old supermarket signage
The one at Dundee Riverside still has one as well... which is interesting as I don't think that store was even built until the mid-late 90s, after they'd stopped being a normal part of Tesco architecture (though maybe the store's older than it looks). And the Tesco in Monifieth still had the old WM ...

Re: Old supermarket signage
This thread was done 15 years ago so I guess it’s due a recycle :) The rather wonderful Brent Park Tesco — then stuck in a time warp since 1985 — was heavily modernised a year later and is now called Tesco Wembley, to the irritation of locals. Funnily enough, Youtube has just reccomended me a video...

Re: Pres Cafe Watch News and Information Board
I wonder if they're the same person as human nature on Digitalspy and AV Forums... nearly every time someone critisises the BBC, they almost immediately appear to defend them, even if it's a thread that's been running for months, or sometimes years, that they'd never posted in before. It's bizarre, ...

Re: The rise of the dodgy shop
Let’s hope so. I recently found out that one such shop in my town was raided because they were selling vapes that were stronger and had more “puffs” than allowed. They were also selling them to underage teenagers. It’s a shitty business model that deserves to disappear. Indeed, it seems ridiculous ...

Re: The rise of the dodgy shop
Not entirely on topic, but as vape shops were mentioned in the post, it has me thinking, what's going to happen to them? By the end of the year they're going to find 95%+ of their products banned, and what remains put in plain packaging and behind the counter, I'm guessing it won't be a viable busin...

Re: Another High Street Rebrand
I bought a retro 1990 wrapper back in 2006- that was more recent then than 2003 is now, however scary that seems.bilky asko wrote: ↑Tue 09 Jan, 2024 17.33 I think it's the first time they've brought back such a recent era with these retro editions

Re: Pres Cafe Watch News and Information Board
A few have, but the last one that I noticed was the best part of 2 weeks before I was put on pre-mod (and even then, it was a reply to something else that got deleted). So it's a long delay if it is anything to do with that. And even then, if that did have anything to do with it, I'd still have appr...
