Re: The rise of the dodgy shop
Let’s hope so. I recently found out that one such shop in my town was raided because they were selling vapes that were stronger and had more “puffs” than allowed. They were also selling them to underage teenagers. It’s a shitty business model that deserves to disappear. Indeed, it seems ridiculous ...

Re: The rise of the dodgy shop
Not entirely on topic, but as vape shops were mentioned in the post, it has me thinking, what's going to happen to them? By the end of the year they're going to find 95%+ of their products banned, and what remains put in plain packaging and behind the counter, I'm guessing it won't be a viable busin...

Re: Another High Street Rebrand
I bought a retro 1990 wrapper back in 2006- that was more recent then than 2003 is now, however scary that seems.bilky asko wrote: ↑Tue 09 Jan, 2024 17.33 I think it's the first time they've brought back such a recent era with these retro editions

Re: Pres Cafe Watch News and Information Board
A few have, but the last one that I noticed was the best part of 2 weeks before I was put on pre-mod (and even then, it was a reply to something else that got deleted). So it's a long delay if it is anything to do with that. And even then, if that did have anything to do with it, I'd still have appr...

Re: Pres Cafe Watch News and Information Board
A few days ago I was made so that all my posts have to be pre approved. I have no idea why, I've never received any warnings, or had any sort of messages from any of the admins raising any concerns, so I'm completely in the dark. After I asked why, one of the admins posted an "admin actions are...

Re: Pres Cafe Watch News and Information Board
The Gary Lineker thread on Pres Cafe was fine, especially compared to the one on DS where there was such wonderful comments as "I don't want immigrants living near me because people try and burn their houses down"... I remember getting told off for daring to post negative opinions of GB Ne...

Re: Pres Cafe Watch News and Information Board
The highlight of yesterday evening was a user coming into the Lineker thread like a bull in a china shop and threatening to leave (as if the forum would crumble to pieces without their presence) because of how “uncomfortably political” the thread was… This looked extremely silly because the whole t...

Re: The unofficial motorway services thread
The Good Breakfast is the brand Welcome Break use to serve breakfast from Harry Ramsdens kitchens and counters - according to the wonderful Motorway Services Online it seems all the Welcome Break Harry Ramsdens closed at the end of August, not long after I visited Leeds Skelton. Bit weird to just s...

Re: Shops with excessive tannoy announcements
God, the dodgy B&Q covers were awful. You were constantly distracted in store because of the fact they were "off", basically a sort of aural uncanny valley. Would have been better to not have any music at all.

Re: Public Transport in your particular part of the region
We're going to be caught up in our 4th train strike since August next Saturday- when we'll be coming back from Heathrow on a long haul flight, tired and fatigued just wanting to get home, and it's going to take us twice as long and cost twice as much to get home as the train should have (thanks to a...
