Re: Another High Street Rebrand
Legal & General appear to have rebranded as L&G. They've sensibly kept the umbrella.

Bit of a mouthful though - the G into the J doesn't exactly roll off the tongue.

Re: Public Transport in your particular part of the region
You can add railcards - but not Two Together or Family & Friends - or a 16-18 Young Scot card.
Adding discounts to contactless payment cards isn't an insurmountable problem - they do it in the Netherlands on OVpay: https://www.ovpay.nl/en/age-based-discounts-for-contactless-cards

Re: Public Transport in your particular part of the region
So a new thing in Scotland is ScotRail's tap & go app.
I saw it advertised on Facebook saying it "couldn't be easier" - and I think I would like to disagree with that.
For a start it's not integrated into the existing ScotRail app, and also requires its own account, and you need to manually enter ...

Re: The Tesco & other non-Morrisons supermarket thread
The M&S app has a ‘scan as you shop’ function for the food hall with Apple Pay integrated, so no need to visit the checkout at all. It’s extremely handy when just nipping in for one or two things at lunchtime when even the self-checkout queues can be lengthy.
Is that universal now? I used it a ...

Re: The Tesco & other non-Morrisons supermarket thread
(Years ago I'm sure I heard Robin Galloway's voice one morning on Asda FM in a store in Glasgow - suggesting that they've been voicetracking for years, but also that they might even have had regional opts)
Had a wee look into this, and he mentions it on an old episode of his podcast:

Re: The Tesco & other non-Morrisons supermarket thread
I noticed when I was last in that they've still got presenters on Asda Radio - I wonder if that was the case when they were doing the AI dross and if they ever referred to the songs.
Looking at the presenters listed on their website , their morning turn also co-presents the breakfast show on Hits ...

Re: The Tesco & other non-Morrisons supermarket thread
An email has arrived telling me about "Important information about My Waitrose T&Cs"
One of the important points is that I can now save 20% at the cheese counter on Thursdays.
Another is that "The scheme is now referred to as My Waitrose rather than myWaitrose."
Very important, both of those.
