Re: Another High Street Rebrand

the new Asda design made me wonder what happened to the old "Permanently Low Prices Forever" stones that used to sit by the entrances, and it appears I'm not the only person to have thought that. He located a couple, but then the trail seems to have gone cold: https://loststonesofasda.word...

interesting to see that while Amazon are phasing out the 'just walk out' from their own stores, they're licensing it elsewhere:

Re: The Unofficial Sainsbury's Thread

I just, I don’t know, I can’t get my head round paying someone to go to the shop for me because I can’t be arsed. Leytonstone's Matalan closed recently and seems like it's going to be half M&S Food; half Aldi, though the council have longer-term ambitions to turn it into housing.

They've not made a fuss about it (as they don't seem to be rolling it out to everyone at once), but Monzo now support cheque imaging.

ah - I've only had exposure to VM's current account and ISA platform and didn't realise they had more!

Nationwide is, as you say, unified - it's just very retro. It could probably survive a reskin, but a ground-up rebuild would be the more sensible option.
