Re: Coronavirus - Strange times

Anyone off to the pub then? I'm not in a massive rush, though we are fairly well-served for massive Victorian pubs and not bad beer gardens in this part of the world, so I probably will in the next week or so. (That said, we also have plenty of pubs near parks which have been serving takeaway pints...

Re: High Street chain collapse sweepstake

the Greggs Rewards app also has a prepayment feature - I could never work out if it was an early foray into contactless/mobile payments or just a way to increase their bank balance. Agree on the FT. I had a 6 month trial (through Google One) and while I can't quite justify paying full whack for it, ...

Re: Coronavirus - Strange times

Surely if you test enough people - symptomatic or not - then it becomes a statistically significant sample, and a useful measure of current infection rates. The problem is that we've been on the back foot from the start and have no idea how the virus did spread and what kind of behaviour led to reco...

Re: Coronavirus - Strange times

I had a test offered via the KCL app a few weeks back. As I don't have a car, I went for the home test option. It was delivered by Amazon, in an Amazon branded box. The instructions were all pretty clear, but my goodness there were a lot of steps - you had to book a next-day courier slot from a webs...
