Re: The Tesco & other non-Morrisons supermarket thread
The Kidlington store (Est. 1979) changed to a Metro in the early 2000s, but changed back to a regular superstore when the Metros were abolished. Are there many Metros which didn’t become Expresses?
Well Street in Hackney was a Metro and is now a superstore.
Its sign says 'est 1978' , though I ...

I'm sure everyone has seen by now that Santander are buying TSB, but feel like it ought to be mentioned here in the thread of record.
If they rebrand that'll probably be the point I close the TSB account I've had since I was 5 :'(
presumably it went through a Lloyds TSB phase somewhere in ...

Re: Adverts that irritate and entertain
Anyone seen the Fosters ad on TV recently? Didn't it originally have a guy tell his brother in law the drink was an obscure tipple called Voodoo Jazzhands? They seem to have censored it, as now he says Voodoo Jazzha- and gets cut off.
This advert is back, and were it not for this post I'd have ...

With the sale of WHSmith Retail completed, WHSmith.co.uk is now redirecting to https://www.tgjonesonline.co.uk/
Went past a branch yesterday and the only outward sign of the change was teeny tiny legal lettering at the bottom of the opening times sign in the window - though perhaps they'd been ...
