Re: The Tesco & other non-Morrisons supermarket thread
I noticed on my recent trip to Asda the other day that there was a load of new POS featuring the older 'Rollback' logo with the big smiley face which they apparently phased out a few years ago but it seems is back again.
I noticed that too... I thought Rollback was a Walmart thing they were ...

Re: High Street chain collapse sweepstake
Seems a bit presumptuous to suggest the reason they're leaving the high street is because a lot of people didn't like their new logo!
Doesn't seem to surprise me that WHSmith have found more profit in their travel and airport stores, especially the upcharge they put on basic water! I remember going ...

Re: Pres Cafe Watch News and Information Board
In retrospect, even on the blue place, the International Presentation thread was similar, but no one had any issue with it mostly just being a place where presentation was posted with no comment.
I don't see what makes this any different. The decision to heavily moderate a thread in the same way ...

Re: Pres Cafe Watch News and Information Board
While I do respect that the International Presentation forum mostly consists of posters just reposting links of TV continuities of channels who most of the time have rebranded recently, the response by the moderators to have more "discussion" feels genuinely arbitrary, especially considering the ...

Re: The Very Official McDonalds (and other fast food outlets) Thread
Went ahead and tried the McRib yesterday and thought it was pretty alright. The BBQ sauce definitely adds a lot to the McRib's flavour. Not sure if it was worth the hype, considering I was always seeing memes on the internet about how grand it was, and especially in the US where it has gained a lot ...

Re: Another High Street Rebrand
Starting to think companies are abusing the "purple-pink" colour scheme a little bit too much (i.e: ITV2)

Re: The Very Official McDonalds (and other fast food outlets) Thread
I happen to notice that even the marketing for McDonald's has been pushing the idea that you can eat McDonald's in the privacy of your own home.

Re: Pres Cafe Watch News and Information Board
What I don't understand is certain YouTube channels like [bluefrog] for instance being considered "websnatching" when they clearly credit where they got their sources from. For instance, a random video for example, the CNX 30-second loop, had the Vimeo link he found it on linked in the description ...

Re: Another High Street Rebrand
I mean, with stuff like Very succeeding the online Woolworths brand, it makes me wonder if there really is space for another brand of great value retail spaces in the high street. Home Bargians and B&M as Will mentioned do feel like they take the mantle of what Woolworths left, and at a stretch I ...

Cor blimey, the Newsnight thread really is heated tonight with somewhat needless aggression.

Re: High Street chain collapse sweepstake
Find it interesting how we're seeing these brands sorta survive off online, Comet apparently has been back for quite a while online and I bet no one really even knew it was, given the hardly minimal advertising. So is Maplin apparently.
