Re: The Tesco & other non-Morrisons supermarket thread
Some new design SELs appearing in my local Asda but - surprise surprise - they seem to be nothing like the design of anything else. A quite ugly bold italic font for both the product name and price.

Re: Digital Spy Watch News and Information Board
I'm my experience people who are annoying on forums are never going to not be annoying on forums, and the best thing to do for the sake of your blood pressure is to just add them to your ignore list.
You do then have to resist the temptation to dismiss the warning and view their posts anyway, but ...

Re: The Tesco & other non-Morrisons supermarket thread
Isn't the "Exceptional" range a sub-tier of the premium items? It seemed to be a range trying to compete with the higher end items M&S sells, from what I could tell at my last visit.
I don't think so - when I was in there a few days ago, I noticed a few Exceptional items that had "Es" on the ...

Nothing could beat a quarter pounder with cheese that had been stuck in the production bin for way over the 10 minute maximum holding time. Hot all the way through and the cheese just oozing.
Seems they're admitting there's a problem. Just heard an ad for "small improvements to our classic ...

It looks like the prehistoric IBM/Toshiba tills at ASDA are finally being replaced with a new system with an NCR touchscreen - perhaps as part of the decoupling from Walmart.

Just been served on one of the new tills. It's the same software as ...

Re: The Tesco & other non-Morrisons supermarket thread
This makes me the tiniest bit sad. Was something kinda nice about seeing them still using the same tills as when I used to work there almost a quarter of a century ago! I briefly wondered if the training manager who trained me on the old tills would be training people on these ones, then I realised ...

It wasn't a church but a "tall building to represent industry", according to their history page. https://www.nationwide.co.uk/about-us/our-history/tillyoshea wrote: Sat 07 Oct, 2023 08.42 They’ve taken the heavily stylised church behind the house out of their logo.

Re: High Street chain collapse sweepstake
Killingworth is a surprise - Poundland used to have a store right opposite Wilko, which had closed at some point before I was last down at that end of the centre a few months ago. Seems odd that they're going to open up again a few metres away, although it's a much bigger unit so I suppose they'll ...

They are different products but it's the change to the Seabrook logo I was talking about.

Re: Another High Street Rebrand
Seabrook crisps with one of those rebrands that's so similar (yet strips out some of the character) you wonder why they bother.

Re: Windows 9 is now Windows 10
And how the heck do you switch it off?
I've tried Googling but all I get is ways of switching other things on and off.
I've also hunted through the Edge settings but, again, can't find anything.
Any help gratefully received.
This thing, you mean?
