Re: Google safety warnings on every site?

A cynic might suggest that they've introduced a "feature" which buggers you up unless you're running Chrome! However, serious answer, I've not noticed anything unpleasant in IE8. Are you well, by the way, Draig? Long time no speak. Well that settles it, now I know I've done something -- I...

Re: Google safety warnings on every site?

This may be me [inevitably I have probably done something], but is google behaving differently for anyone this afternoon? I don't recall changing any settings, but now, clicking on a result opens that site in a new tab in firefox -- which I can't seem to change. Also if I search for something which ...

Re: Google safety warnings on every site?

Oh I do wish I had come here half an hour ago, I've been trying all manner of things to get rid of this.

Re: The Official Metropol UPLOAD-A-THON

Well I've decided to pull my finger out and have a look in the dragon archive for this one -- these are the ones from the past that immediately made me smile [that may just be me though] : http://up.metropol247.co.uk/TVDragon/NickHarveyicon.jpg http://up.metropol247.co.uk/TVDragon/katchrista.jpg htt...

Re: A sign of the times...

To what end though? Because my sense is that it would be very hard for a Welsh-speaker to avoid English entirely. The media they consume, for instance, would tend to be predominantly English I would have thought. I mean, if you really wanted to, I guess you could cut yourself off from the English s...

Re: A sign of the times...

In that case, alexia, how come the English text appears above the Welsh text? Well now this depends upon where in Wales the signs are. Swansea has a modest number of Welsh speakers, but not a majority of the county borough are first-language Welsh. Signs in Carmarthenshire and anywhere west of Llan...

Re: Why and when did you join?

I originally joined TVF for the technical discussion leading up to ITV going on the Astra satellite in November 2001. Then I just stayed on to make constructive comments about how the forum was run; and to make up nice, new words like 'sadministrator' and 'soderator'. Then I came to realise how muc...

I see Uncle Ken announced the closure of two of the distribution centres yesterday. One in Bristol and one in Kent. Indeed -- added to the Warrington one, closed but moments after I spoke so fondly about it earlier on in the thread. 700 jobs I believe. Oh Morrisons really make me ill, I just can't ...

Well now there still remains a Safeway [branded] distribution depot in Warrington -- it's very pretty.

Never been any Safeway stores in the town mind you.

Oh yes -- tedious squeaky little boy.

All the Welsh people on that forum are odd, there are no exceptions.
