Re: Another High Street Rebrand

Speaking of Morrisons, they seem to have a rebrand every other month lately. It feels like every store in the North East has a different interior as they keep changing it over and over again, even the current refurbs are different to each other with some getting done properly and other's being a bo...

Re: There an election this year.....

I’d be amazed if it’s anything other than a healthy Labour majority. I don’t really buy the whole argument about too big a swing needed etc - the mood of the country is pretty clearly against the Tories right now. I don’t think Lib Dems will do as well as they hope. There’s a smug complacency about ...

Re: Another High Street Rebrand

Wasn't sure whether to post this in this thread or the supermarkets one, but I'm surprised no one has mentioned the new ASDA rebrand. https://www.itsnicethat.com/articles/havas-asda-graphic-design-160524 I quite like the choice of colours, but I'm not sure how well the new font goes with the ASDA l...

Re: There an election this year.....

I don’t think anything’s clear cut yet. Lib Dems are as ever making the mistake of assuming their vote is anti-Tory. It really isn’t. If they had any sense they’d move into the centre and try to attract the huge number of centre-right Tories who I think will play a big part in deciding the result. I...

Re: Old supermarket signage

Re: Waitrose - they have a policy where they don’t replace external signage unless that have to. I think they pretty much know they need to update things - the title case logo looks alright but the updated branding looks nice. They just don’t have the money to spend to brings things up to date, but ...

Re: What happened to TV mocks?

I think the very short answer is that they are pretty pointless for the most part. Only real reason I can think of would be for a portfolio / showreel or to teach yourself how to do something with the software. Other than that, why bother? I think this is pretty much it. It’s so easy to do stuff no...

Re: The Very Official McDonalds (and other fast food outlets) Thread

Went to a very nice pizza restaurant recently (a chain but like only a small chain) who also do Deliveroo etc. It’s in the city centre and I quite enjoyed how they had a hatch where delivery people pull up to on their bikes and the pizzas are handed straight out to them. No need to even set foot ins...

Re: Pres Cafe Watch News and Information Board

I can’t imagine getting so worked up over a silly little website where people post about what font’s been used on something on the telly. If you managed to get yourself told off for breaking rules then idk, maybe you’re the problem.

Re: Adverts that irritate and entertain

It’s a trail rather than an advert but we have Sky News playing at work, and they still play the sodding new look Breakfast advert practically every time they have an ad break. Drives me insane.

Re: With all the recent inflationary price rises, is there stuff you just won’t pay for now?

With you on going out. We probably do more brunch than evening meals out these days but even then you’re throwing away £30+ for two of us for essentially half an hour of gratification. Funnily enough on the other hand there are things I’ll keep paying for - I think we subscribe to pretty much every ...
