I’ve never been able to get my head around what it means. It’s a crap pretentious slogan.

Re: The Tesco & other non-Morrisons supermarket thread

I see Waitrose is planning to open around a hundred convenience stores and refurbish a number of existing stores too. I think convenience stores in the UK are generally quite poor so this’ll be interesting to see.

Re: Public Transport in your particular part of the region

Some transport developments over my way recently. West Yorkshire’s buses are all coming into a franchising system much like TfL and Manchester. We’ve also got plans for a tram network being consulted on. The first few lines proposed include one between Leeds and Bradford. You’d think there’s not a h...

Sadly not. I was working from home and thought I might have had an unexpected day off.

I’ve noticed the same thing too—it’s true that spambots might be getting smarter. It’s clear that’s an AI rewritten post.

Re: The Unofficial Sainsbury's Thread

They're fitting out a new Sainsbury's Local between Shoreditch and Liverpool St, or at least I think it should be a Local as it seems to have no depth, but the signs in the windows so far are suggesting it's just "Sainsbury's". Possible phasing out of the Local brand? It did make me wonde...

Re: There an election this year.....

It wasn't a very surprising result really, as it had been forecast for months anyway - Labour and Lib Dem big winners, Tories and SNP big losers. The only change was that Farage belatedly turned up. At least we didn't get the full thirteen Reform MPs that the exit poll predicted. What next for the ...

Re: There an election this year.....

Have to say, it’s rather nice having a PM who seems to be using common sense, ministers being appointed because they’re experts and not to appease a section of the party, and talk of country before party. Early days but I hope this continues.

That you opinion and we have to respect, Although I never did say it was lazy. Making the BBC displaying their graphics on Clive Myrie's forehead, would be fun but impractical, which is a shame. This election went on for far too long, which I have to wonder make things a little bit worse for the br...

Re: There an election this year.....

Indeed The Sun have endorsed Labour at the 11th hour. I wonder how long that front page has been waiting in the wings for 'Time for a new manager (and we don't mean sack Southgate' reads awfully like the big sports news is supposed to be England out of the Euros, but we're still (somehow) in them. ...
