Re: The Unofficial Sainsbury's Thread

Looks like the concept Morrisons store from a few years ago near where I used to live. I’m sure all supermarkets have come up with this sort of design over the past ten years.

Re: The Unofficial Sainsbury's Thread

To me the optimum setup involves the Morrisons method of shelf stock being packaged up by the counter staff. Every time I went to the Sainsburys where I used to live, the counters had 3 or 4 staff on them with very few customers. Surely if you want a piece of meat, if there’s nobody on the counter y...

Re: The Unofficial Sainsbury's Thread

This isn't being done as a way to allow them to stay open during lockdowns is it? Garden centres are allowed to stay open aren’t they? Think the success or otherwise depends on location, but comments on the post suggest the checkout process isn’t the best (lumped in with everyone else buying their ...

https://www.facebook.com/DobbiesGC/videos/860761001127494/?vh=e&d=n Thought this was interesting - Sainsburys range in Dobbies (and according to the comments, spreading to all their stores) - especially given their previous ownership by Tesco. Funny how things change. It used to be the case that...

Re: High Street chain collapse sweepstake

Back in a previous life managing a well-known coffee shop, I would be alone from opening until about an hour afte...

Re: Coronavirus - Strange times

I get your point James but I’m sure you’ll be the first to accuse Tories and their supporters of wanting children to starve to death. You’re absolutely right about COVID though, it’s not a black and white situation where one method works and the other doesn’t, every option has its rather significant...

Woolworths is being resurrected? https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/news/uk-news/woolworths-confirms-high-street-return-19172296 No a fake Twitter account has been set up and all of the clickbaits have gone along with it without fact checking, including the Sun and Mirror. Including referring ...

Re: Coronavirus - Strange times

I just find it hilarious that people seem to think if you have it then you walk around surrounded by a haze of COVID. Not sure that’s quite how it’s transmitted.

It’ll come to all of us. One day in the future you’ll be on a coach to one of them. You can’t stop it.
