Re: Another High Street Rebrand
I'm sure it's far from unique, but saw my first triple-branded Smiths store last week in Taunton now they're making a big deal of their Toys R Us concession, and this store with a Barclays-branded cash machine to boot too. Doesn't look cluttered at all! https://up.metropol247.co.uk/cwathen/Smiths%20...

Re: The Technology Thread
Out of curisosity, Metropollers, did anyone get affected by the IT Outage yesterday? Personally, it was quite minimal in terms of impacting my day. The worst was the dot matrix screen at my station was not working, and my online Maccies order went a bit funny. Besides that, felt like it was a bit o...

Re: There an election this year.....
Probably the small matter of knowing that the TV News won't be able to do a newspaper review tomorrow morning. Therefore get the cover published in the afternoon to get the free publicity from the tv news. Anyone else think maybe it's time we had a look at this? It's already a rather 1920s rather t...

Indeed The Sun have endorsed Labour at the 11th hour. I wonder how long that front page has been waiting in the wings for 'Time for a new manager (and we don't mean sack Southgate' reads awfully like the big sports news is supposed to be England out of the Euros, but we're still (somehow) in them.

Re: There an election this year.....
Whilst I hate the paper, I'm a little surprised the S*n haven't endorsed anyone yet. Which suggests, they're expecting a Labour victory but aren't feeling too strongly about endorsing them. There's reports The Sun will never endorse Labour with Starmer as leader when he was DPP during the phone hac...

Re: There an election this year.....
The last two times the government changed, in 2010 a Labour win was doubtless thought privately to be unlikely, and in 1997 Tory defeat was doubtless privately thought to be inevitable, yet publicly the incumbent government still campaigned like a thumping majority could be delivered and it was all ...

Add me to that list.I also can't think of anyone I've spoken to who has said they'll vote Conservative, including at least one lifelong voter.

Re: There an election this year.....
D Day has got to be Sunak's "bigoted woman" moment right? An absolutely extraordinary own goal of monumental proportions. That image of Cameron with three actual current world leaders is quite something. There's four more weeks but surely, surely it can't get worse than this?! Labour were...

Re: There an election this year.....
Not even been a week and the Tory campaign has gone horribly. National service? Are they trying not to get votes or something? What I find slightly hilarious about the musings of the 'bring back national service - share if you agree!' mob is how unlikely it is that any of them either actually did i...
