Re: The Tesco & other non-Morrisons supermarket thread

Well it must've gone down again then, because I checked tesco.com before posting and it looked normal.

Re: TV Live Forum Watch News and Information Board

Re: Currys PC World Dixons Carphone Warehouse Team Knowhow to become "Currys"

Looks like this rebrand has begun. The Currys PC World brand had been replaced. Carphone Warehouse displays ‘becoming Currys’ next to the logo. The Dixons Carphone logo hasn’t been swapped out on that website, but elsewhere on it just refers to ‘Currys’. Edit: just noticed ‘Currys Mobile’, which I ...

That logo was first seen in April. After Next removed their garden range from their Home stores that had it (which happened a couple of years ago) it looks like they've partnered with Homebase to fill the gap left in the stores: https://www.retailgazette.co.uk/blog/2021/04/homebase-opens-shop-in-sho...

Re: Yet another Morrisons thread

My local branch of McColl's closes down on Wednesday, reopening eight days later as a Morrisons Daily. Apparently that's happening nationwide, they plan to convert 350 stores in the next 14 months. https://www.conveniencestore.co.uk/your-business/mccolls-to-focus-on-morrisons-daily-offer/658900.arti...

Re: Public Transport in your particular part of the region

Yeah, here in Hull, for the most part, Stagecoach does the inner city routes, and East Yorkshire does the journeys that go to other towns. That status quo has been the case for a long time. There used to be other independents about 20 years ago, including one that cheekily used the old blue and whit...

If they can't pay the tax bill, then it's too late, they're insolvent. Time to call in the administrators.

Re: Public Transport in your particular part of the region

Wow, has the pandemic finished off Stagecoach? National Express in talks to buy them. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-58636437 I like the two photos in that article - one with the new National Express coach, the other with a Stagecoach bus taken circa 15 years ago. That wouldn't have been as no...
