Re: The Tesco & Other non-Morrisons Supermarket Thread
So I work about right next to Tesco Tooley Street which is a concept store (which basically means they refurbish it in some way every three months).
The latest additions are a "Harris and Hoole" coffee shop, which utilises some of the previously dead space on the upper level, and a "Euphorium ...

Re: Yet another Morrisons thread
Is there a Morrisons anywhere in the country where they still have the revolutionary swivelling banana hanging cage in use ?
Morrisons Stevenston still does.
Never once seen a member of staff behind the cage mind you. They appear to be anticipating a lorry load of bruised bananas, judging by ...

Re: The Tesco & Other non-Morrisons Supermarket Thread
Just for fun, in case anyone doesn't remember it (it had a very brief lifespan), the original Clubcard logo (acknowledgement: Logopedia ):

Had a look around Kensington and indeed Tooley St recently, both remarkable stores (for Tesco).

Re: The Tesco & Other non-Morrisons Supermarket Thread
I always find the Morrisons toilets notably good...
On another note, I've not been a to Co-Operative yet that has a public toilet..
I've written a blog on them - not about toilets but nevertheless - http://ukretailers.blogspot.co.uk/2012/ ... -food.html

Re: Yet another Morrisons thread
New blog on Morrisons, happily the POS has changed but it's basically a rip off of Sainsbury's. The faux pas don't end there as you'll need a magnifying glass for to see the 3 for £10 stripping offer on Meat.

Re: The Tesco & Other non-Morrisons Supermarket Thread
Some great links which I've borrowed for Twitter (@dresserman) so thanks!
I did indeed visit the Tooley St, I agree with you on the street level. It's still a Tesco and it's an improvement but they need to do more.

A lot of talk about the big plans for Tesco, I visited one of their concept stores in london and also reviewed their wider plans... Will it work? Remains to be seen..
