Re: Another High Street Rebrand
Whereas my local Tesco is flush with new trollies introduced in time for a recent Scan as you Shop upgrade. Indeed, my nearest Sainsbury's and Morrisons seem to have an abundance of trollies, if the latter are a bit worse for wear. When my nearest Sainsbury's reopened after a refurb last summer, th...

Re: There an election this year.....
I remember Labour had a similar scheme called the New Deal where young adults had to do 6 months of voluntary work among other things to receive their benefits.

Re: Pres Cafe Watch News and Information Board
I recall the Abbie Dewhurst leaving Look North being posted in Newsroom Movers and Shakers as well earlier in the day which may had led to the deleting of the post elsewhere.

The SNP are going through their own factional crisis. Those who want them to focus on getting another referendum on independence, then you have the likes of Joanna Cherry and Kate Forbes who are more interested in removing rights from trans people. We've already seen Alba being formed by ex SNP poli...

Re: There an election this year.....
I can see two things happening. It'll be Labour with an outright majority thanks to Reform splitting the Tory vote, or a hung parliament thanks to disenfranchised voters who see Labour and the Conservatives as both sides of the same coin, so vote for the smaller parties such as the Lib Dems, Greens ...

Re: Pres Cafe Watch News and Information Board
I wonder if they're the same person as human nature on Digitalspy and AV Forums... nearly every time someone critisises the BBC, they almost immediately appear to defend them, even if it's a thread that's been running for months, or sometimes years, that they'd never posted in before. It's bizarre,...

Re: The Very Official McDonalds (and other fast food outlets) Thread
Nothing could beat a quarter pounder with cheese that had been stuck in the production bin for way over the 10 minute maximum holding time. Hot all the way through and the cheese just oozing. Seems they're admitting there's a problem. Just heard an ad for "small improvements to our classic bur...

Re: The Unofficial Sainsbury's Thread
Getir's downfall are the existing food delivery apps that don't have any warehouses as their riders can collect from shops including small independents. I have their app and I did notice recently that the offers to get me to shop were becoming more desperate which is never a great sign of a viable b...

Re: The Unofficial Sainsbury's Thread
My nearest Sainsbury's has finally scrapped the segregation of baskets and trollies from the self checkouts with new signs indicating that the basket only tills are now for lighter shops and the trolley only tills are now for heavy shops. Staff never implemented the basket/trolley only rules in the ...
