Re: TV Forum Watch News and Information Board

And it's not even as if he's unemployed, he's decided to go freelance. You don't do that unless you're good at what you do and expect to make more money and advance your career doing it.

By the looks of things he's very well thought of by the people that matter

Re: TV Forum Watch News and Information Board

I was wondering how he managed to fill 25 minutes then watched a bit and remembered his inability to think about what he's going to say before he says it so a good 20 minutes is him going 'er' His YouTube channel is fascinating, I've never seen a video with 'no views' before. Even some of my videos ...

Re: News Corp buy The Wireless Group (formerly UTV Media)

It seems we have very different definitions about stability, and what is pretty good. Re: News Corp buy The Wireless Group (formerly UTV Media)

They're different products though, 5 Live isn't just sport. I'd tune to 5Live when there's a big news story I rarely do these days, as often BBC World Service has far better coverage, in my opinion. About the only times I actually tune into 5 Live these days is for the sports coverage, and from wha...

Re: News Corp buy The Wireless Group (formerly UTV Media)

Definitely profitable, but a success story? 5 Live has 5.77million listeners, Talksport 3.09million. Not really sure I can call it a success story. They're different products though, 5 Live isn't just sport. I'd tune to 5Live when there's a big news story I'd say it's a massive success story: as yo...

Re: News Corp buy The Wireless Group (formerly UTV Media)

Not everyone at TalkSport is happy about the takeover: http://radiotoday.co.uk/2016/07/colin-murray-quits-talksport-after-news-corp-deal/ A man of principle. The type of principle that led him to chase the money by leaving the BBC for TalkSPORT in the first place, but still, principle. Leaving comp...
