Re: Another High Street Rebrand

Microsoft's history with restricting colour schemes does not bode well for this...with XP by default you only had a choice of fisher price blue, overly cold silver, or some minging olive green scheme. Wasn't there two blues? I seem to remember the standard blue and 'Energy Blue', whatever that mean...

Re: English only:

I recall an episode of Question Time where Danny Alexander was vilified by the crowd for supporting the hike in English tutition fees that will have little to no effect on his constituents, saying that he consulted them about it. That would be an example of the unfairness of the current system, howe...

Re: TV Forum Watch News and Information Board

The Hoobs. Are you taking the mickey? Just because The Hoobs gets shown on Channel 4 around 6am these days doesn't mean it's a breakfast show. It's a pre-school educational programme. Circa 2003/2004 I remember it being on Channel 4 mid morning Mondays to Fridays during the 4 Learning strand (schoo...

Re: Adverts that irritate and entertain

Talking of bad Microsoft ads, I really hate the 'to the cloud' campaign. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6pmXcWZqpLg 1. I don't really think 'the cloud' is something we should be selling to...you know...humans. Humans are not known for their interest in server architecture - it's possible to sell us...

Re: Adverts that irritate and entertain

That Microsoft ad which thankfully seems to have finished. The advert is built on the premise that the lady thinks her elderly computer is good enough. The advert doesn't explain at all how she is incorrect - the only thing that comes close is "one click - you're online" and about that &q...

Re: Adverts that irritate and entertain

I love the accent of the Welshman in the People's Postcode Lottery advert. True Welshman wearing a red rugby top.

Re: News of the World rebrands.... sorry closes

BBC News have just reported that it's been confirmed there will be a 7-day Sun by News International. Apparently they have wanted to turn both the Sun/NOTW and the Times into 7 day a week operations. When this was put to the staff a few months back it obviously wasn't popular. This is a very clever...
