I'm not sure what course of events could cause there not to still be one up to and including the morning of the 5th.

Re: Another High Street Rebrand
It reminds me of the Sky 2008ish logo change, in that it's such a subtle change you end up wondering why they even bothered.AGuyFromUpNorth wrote: ↑Tue 21 May, 2024 19.33 Primark have rebranded:

Was there actually any point in changing the logo?

Re: Another High Street Rebrand
"that's more like it" is such a shit slogan for a supermarket.
I thought Asda was meant to be moving upmarket? Cartoony/fun branding does not seem compatible with that aim, but then neither do most things about the Asda brand.

interesting to see that while Amazon are phasing out the 'just walk out' from their own stores, they're licensing it elsewhere: https://www.mkfm.com/news/local-news/milton-keyness-first-checkout-free-store-using-amazons-just-walk-out-technology-opens-at-unity-place/ I suspect you posted on the wron...

I agree, it'd be weird. It's not a prediction, but I think whatever happens will be something of that ilk.Charlie Wells wrote: ↑Mon 13 May, 2024 11.20I think that's highly unlikely to happen, in part due to the first past the post electoral system.

Re: Pres Cafe Watch News and Information Board
I just received a warning for trying to 'bypass the character limit' in the Eurovision thread. I said all i needed to say in that short sentence so why is the board throwing a strop because i typed '30 character limit' so i could post what i wanted? Your message didn't really add much tho did it? I...

Parliament will have to convene if only to allow for the formalities of dissolution to happen.
I think it'll be a weird election, probably good, but I can't quite work out what sort of weird it might be.
Conservatives as the 4th party behind Lib Dems and Alba. That'd be weird, for example.

Re: Old supermarket signage
Until recently there was still a handful of Icelands with the 90s logo - wouldn't surprise me if there still is 1 or 2 remaining. Morrisons aggressively rebranded everything all at once, the exceptions being the handful of supermarkets they (intended to) close or sell off imminently, but that was qu...

Re: The Barclays and other non-Lloyds/TSB Bank thread
But recently it's got worse. Put a few things on the card last month which I wanted to pay off in full this month only to find that I now can't pay debit card through the app as apparently VM can't provide this anymore even though everyone else can. My only options were either an automated phone nu...

Re: The Barclays and other non-Lloyds/TSB Bank thread
This is reminding me of the heady days of the early 2010s when Byres Road in Glasgow had three branches of Santander within about 50m of each other. Looking at Street View, the former Bradford & Bingley was gone by 2012, but the ex-Alliance & Leicester lasted until 2019. (The Abbey branch r...
