Re: TV Live Forum Watch News and Information Board

I feel completely unable to keep up with it all to be honest. I think this is all because the logos and fonts but not the idents are changing? Doesn't really seem that exciting...

Maybe I've got the wrong end of the stick.

Re: TV Live Forum Watch News and Information Board

Well, apparently I'm now the administrator of a "cess-pool of hate". Wonderful stuff. For what little it's worth, I have invited Rob on several occasions to let me or bilky asko know whenever he sees something that he considers to be hateful. The one and only time he has done so, the user ...

Re: Yet another Morrisons thread

Is this another attempt by Morrisons to get into the convivence store market, but using McColl's shops and presumably staff? No. It's a play to create a wholesale line of business, with the aim of expanding the group's buying power through economies of scale. It's more like Tesco/Booker and Co-op/N...

Re: Web designers on the forum - can you help me?

I would argue that not everyone who wants to build a website needs to learn it the old school way - and here’s why: A lot of smaller businesses just want a web presence which is really just a landing page they can stick in their marketing materials with a little bit of info about what they do and h...

Re: Web designers on the forum - can you help me?

HTML is not primarily a visual medium, it's a means of structuring and formatting information in a manner which can then be interpreted either visually or another way to suit the user's needs. This is going to sound like a real dick thing to say - but if you're relying on a tool that allows you to d...

Yes, it's an accessibility feature.

Incidentally the dots on the card are an accessibility feature as well, I believe it's one dot for debit cards and two for credit.

Re: The Barclays and other non-Lloyds/TSB Bank thread

I just received my replacement Halifax debit card in the post and it's got the old branding (as below), 2.5 years after the new logo started appearing on TV ads. The card expires in Nov 2025, so a 6.5 year wait for the new logo to find its way onto my card! https://up.metropol247.co.uk/rdobbie/3302...

Re: The Barclays and other non-Lloyds/TSB Bank thread

I had an email from NatWest informing me that from December, they're reissuing debit cards with Mastercard instead of Visa. I think that's been in the offing for a while. I've not yet had an email about my RBS account, but I assume it's part of the same deal. It is, as well as Ulster Bank (NI, the ...
