Re: Public Transport in your particular part of the region
How will the implementation of the Bee Network branded rail services work in Manchester? Will they be directly managed by TfGM under a franchise concession or will the existing TOC simply run them with the new branding?
GMPTE have funded railway services with varying levels of visibility for ...

Kerning is a little tighter maybe? IDK it seems pretty similar to me too.

Re: The Tesco & other non-Morrisons supermarket thread
Have they slimmed down the number of fake brands since they were first introduced? It feels like 'Grower's Harvest' is on a fairly wide range of groceries.
fair play to them though - while I did like the simplicity of the Tesco Value brand, the fake brands do feel slightly less basic, even ...

Re: Public Transport in your particular part of the region
I think the display of a flag dragged over a train to form a livery is a great display of how un-British waving the Union Flag without any rationale is. This subtlety is utterly lost on the lunatics obviously.

Re: The Tesco & other non-Morrisons supermarket thread
I imagine a lot of people don't know that T E Stockwell is the "Tes" in Tesco, a tea company that Jack Cohen (the "Co"in Tesco) bought out in the 1920s, so it's technically not a made up brand unlike the others.
H W Nevill's was once a real bakery too, so also not "made up" by your criteria ...

Re: Another High Street Rebrand
I imagine it's going to be a messy affair when the TG Jones closures bite as it'll no doubt impact a number of communities where they operate the only Post Office for miles. I wonder if Post Office might end up propping up part of the operation if the whole thing is sent to the administrators (as ...

Re: High Street chain collapse sweepstake
I noticed in the run up to Christmas that The Entertainer has started opening on Sundays for the first time. I assumed that might have been an indication that they might be on the rocks a bit but turns out the family that owned it transferred full control to an employee owned trust who then pretty ...

Re: Another High Street Rebrand
The weird WHSmith/M&S Food hybrid on Tottenham Court Road remains WHS branded. I think it's technically a hospital shop within hospital property, despite it very much presenting as part of the high street, which probably explains why it continues.
None of the 'travel' locations, including ...

Re: High Street chain collapse sweepstake
On other Modella Capital related news, the TJ Jones store in Wellington has closed down. This was one of the handful to get a full refit too.
It would have been one of the handful of exceptions agreed at the time of the takeover, as there is a stipulation preventing any store closures or CVA ...
