It is naff and moribund. The non-Post Office locations will be gone within 18 months I suspect.
The one good thing you can say of the branding is that a few locations have at least had very old faded signage replaced in the process.

Re: The Unofficial Sainsbury's Thread
I think the points lock thing is new. Someone in Birmingham spent £80-odd of my points a few years ago, and support restored them with no quibbles. As you say, it must be costing them a bomb.
It is, it was introduced in February: https://www.retailgazette.co.uk/blog/2025/02/sainsburys-nectar ...

Re: The Tesco & other non-Morrisons supermarket thread
Those posters mention a "checkout card" too, a precursor to the clubcard?
Can't find any info on it, but have found a photo of a carrier bag promoting it:

Re: The Unofficial Sainsbury's Thread
I had £400 of Nectar points stolen a few years ago. They were all immediately reinstated.
Must be a problem that costs millions, you'd think by now they'd have added a PIN or something (that doesn't rely on you having the app!).

I feel sorry for any manager who now has the job of dealing with bailiffs trying to seize overpriced teddies and hair bands.

Re: Another High Street Rebrand
Not a rebrand of sorts but I recently noticed the addition of a 'Since 1974' on the signage of McDonald's.
This is McDonald's in Woolwich which I know is the first ever Maccy's in the UK so I wonder if it's a one off.
There is a special recognition plaque on the left next to the Deliveroo guy ...

Re: High Street chain collapse sweepstake
Locally the signs changed on Tuesday which was impressive. Yet my nearest store isn't on TGJones's website!
Only in the past couple of weeks has Weston-super-Mare got it's Toys-R-Us dual signage. Seems odd to have carried on with them that late only to have to change it again now.
If it's ...
