My new plastic Nectar card has arrived.

Changes are that the front is just the nectar logo on a purple background. The Nectar number is now printed on the back, with the barcode, mag stripe and cardholder name. They've axed the QR code however.
I didn't realise they ever had QR codes.

Re: The Tesco & other non-Morrisons supermarket thread

There doesn't seem to be any consistency when it comes to carrier bags on tills at Tesco Express stores in particular. Some days they're on a hook behind the tills so you have to ask for them and other days they're on the tills. It's not difficult to circulate baskets from a handful of tills to at ...

Re: The Tesco & other non-Morrisons supermarket thread

1. Lack of carrier bags at each till. The amount of times I've had to leave my shopping unattended to go and find someone to get a bag, and then when I return someone's standing at my till about to move my items to one side. I know you might say "well bring your own and help the environment", and w...

Re: Another High Street Rebrand

I wasn't entirely sure it was an improvement either, but then I've kind of gone off Frankie & Benny's in the last decade or so.

Nothing on their menu is particularly brilliant, and all of it is overpriced.

Re: The Unofficial Sainsbury's Thread

I've finally updated my Nectar for online use and on the app for the digital card. Is the smaller reader on the staffed checkouts with two lights on the front to read the barcode from smartphones? Also if you store your Nectar offers in Sainsbury's on the app, do you have to use the digital card to...

Re: Another High Street Rebrand

Did a bit of further research and came across this article from The Times from last month, which features this bit: B&Q is in the process of removing all self-service tills and Morrisons has paused the wider introduction of its machines after customers complained they found them impersonal. Which b...

Show your working.

I think you're getting wound up about something which is supposed to annoy the bloke who banned him. Seems to be doing the trick.

Justice for the chat-two.

Re: The Unofficial Sainsbury's Thread

I've sort of stopped using the labels and tend to just put them through using the normal self service touch screen and scales. If you're just buying bananas its the same number of buttons but doesn't waste a sticker. I agree, the whole sticker thing seems a waste. Why not just display a barcode whi...

Re: The Unofficial Sainsbury's Thread

Fruit and Veg plastic bags have been axed for reusable bags that cost 30p. I tend just not to use them because they're totally unnecessary. I did once manage to confuse a member of staff who was doing a 'service check' on me at Tesco because they believed I should be printing off a label for every ...
