Re: Premier Inn or Travelodge?

Oh crikey, I've booked a Premier Inn in Reading for the duration of the festival (because I'm a big wimp who likes showers), and used my mum's credit card online (with her permission, of course). Does this mean I'll have to take her card with me? Or will I be able to pay on my own (Maestro debit) ca...

Re: 'All Firefox users are content theives' - WTF!?

I don't think the billboard analogy is very good - as the publisher (the company who own the billboard) will be paid regardless of how many people look at it. Ad Block, as far as I can tell, removes advert code from pages, meaning that they do not even load. Web publishers, especially the smaller on...

Ugh, I hope I don't come across... like that... on my YouTube videos.

It looks like this guy can actually string a sentence together successfully though, unlike myself, so, er, at least that's a difference between our two delivery styles.

Please can someone explain the relationship between 'Andrew' and ITV? At times he sounds like the former Iraqi Information Minister, and I can't explain why any rational human would religiously defend a specific company?

I'm not trying to launch a personal attack, I'm genuinely curious.

Would you say the same if I suggested that all welsh people were "aspiring media cunts, closet racists, self-obsessed hypochondriacs who have no understanding of libel laws"? :P

I suppose the other obvious problem with using it to look into the past is not knowing whether or not the images generated were accurate.

For every "photo" of Shakespeare there's a two headed Shakespeare with a speech bubble remarking on the new News 24 tower, or something.

They're not replacing 999.

I'm aware a clearly pro-Europe website isn't the best place to reference for proof, but wouldn't there be a bit more of a fuss in the media (ie: the Daily Express/Mail) if it were true?[/url]

But why do the DNS servers resolve a domain via ping, rather than through the browser on the same computer? Surely the process is the same? "Tell me where google.com is" "It's at 64.233.167.99" Only then the browser would say "go to 64.233.167.99"? Or am I missing somet...
