Re: Birmingham

Stick around, for definite. If you do stay over, I recommend NiteNite (google it), just a short walk from the Mailbox and City Centre, but cheap, and very comfortable. Then, check out the Mailbox (BBC worth a little look), the Bullring for retail therapy and take a walk on the Canals near the NIA an...

Re: MFI and Woolworths

We still have nothing in our Woolworths, and it looks such a mess. It's in a very dominating position with a massive double frontage, and its been ravaged inside. Our MKone is also closing, and its similar, large shop frontage etc. Scarborough will look like a ghost town soon. But there is talk of g...

Re: Twitter

So it seems that there is a quite popular twitter substitute, in beta at the moment.

http://jaiku.com/

And a page example, seems the only real difference is you post an icon too.

You have to request an invite, if I get accepted, I shall tell people what it's like.

Re: Twitter

Re: How was your day?

They built a massive line of tills upstairs in out M&S with about 20 tillpoints spanning a whole wall, and there was still a queue right down the stairs.

"Why do people not give vouchers? Stupid bloody idiots..." was heard at the tills.

Re: How was your day?

Why does it all go up after 65? My grandma hates Christmas, all her old chummies get together and moan about it!

-- you guys all beat me to it --

As to Christmas, it was good, apart from my fathers present to me which was terrible. But thats life, my mothers was very good, so balanced it out

Re: XP - The OS of choice?

A lot of software producers seem to be ignoring Vista at the moment. Even brand new games (many EA ones) do not work with Vista but work with XP. If Vista is just a shiny XP, why does it refuse to run a lot of software that XP is fine with? :?

Re: Who's for the chop?

Apple do OK, their stores are always nice and busy, and not just with people 'browsing' (having a play with the macs), but people seem to buy a lot too. Laura Ashley might fold soon, because they don't even offer incentives for people to go in, unlike the shiny tech stores.
