Re: Paywalls

The most galling one is the Mirror website saying in order to reject cookies you need to pay. Who is going to do that? I just close the article and go somewhere else.

Re: Adverts that irritate and entertain

The Virgin Atlantic ad must be getting on for one of the longest-running ads now? Over two years old at this point.

Re: The Very Official McDonalds (and other fast food outlets) Thread

Ordered a Big Mac tonight and got a Double Big Mac. I must have done something good this week to deserve that. The balance is a bit off with double the burgers though.

Re: The Very Official McDonalds (and other fast food outlets) Thread

Not surprised at McDonald's sales dropping. It's a complete waste of money. There's so many independent burger (and other fast food) places popping up all over the place lately and they're all a league above McDonald's and not a million miles away in price. Massive change from 15 year ago when the ...

Re: The Technology Thread

I had been working from home since Tuesday thanks to Covid. Yes, was unable to do any work (and neither was anyone in the office anyway). At least it meant me and my girlfriend were able to go out properly for the first time since Monday, if only for a bit of shopping and Costa. EDIT: I should add, ...

Re: There an election this year.....

It wasn't a very surprising result really, as it had been forecast for months anyway - Labour and Lib Dem big winners, Tories and SNP big losers. The only change was that Farage belatedly turned up. At least we didn't get the full thirteen Reform MPs that the exit poll predicted. What next for the T...

Re: There an election this year.....

Whilst I hate the paper, I'm a little surprised the S*n haven't endorsed anyone yet. Which suggests, they're expecting a Labour victory but aren't feeling too strongly about endorsing them. There's reports The Sun will never endorse Labour with Starmer as leader when he was DPP during the phone hac...

Whilst I hate the paper, I'm a little surprised the S*n haven't endorsed anyone yet. Which suggests, they're expecting a Labour victory but aren't feeling too strongly about endorsing them. I too saw a Tory PPB that seemed to focus more on "Labour are going to win, so vote to prevent a supermaj...
