Re: TV Forum Watch News and Information Board

I'm avoiding the place today. While I'm interested in what's been done, the childish wingeing from some of the posters over there have taken all the enjoyment out of seeing something new. It's going to be hell when they all find out their imagined changes aren't happening. I'm sure some of them sti...

Re: TV Forum Watch News and Information Board

I’ve just noticed, after reading back the Top Gear thread for the latest series, that the user ‘ttt’ got banned or had their account disabled at the start of the month, and went back and wiped the first page of their posts:

Re: TV Forum Watch News and Information Board

Out of interest, what is the general consensus as to when the 'heyday' of this forum was, when it was at its peak? In 1924, when this was posted: Have just given the first demonstration of my television apparatus, constructed from a tea chest, biscuit tin and sealing wax. I transmitted the image of...

Re: Another High Street Rebrand

Yeah, that Abbey branding was really fresh at the time considering how banks are usually marketed.

BTW I don't think that old old logo there is accurate, it was updated at some point before it was dropped with an updated typeface.

Re: TV Forum Watch News and Information Board

Where's Araminta Kane when you need him? He'll figure out some loose connection between the cancellation of Heartbeat and the fall of New Labour or something as equally ridiculous.

My favourite quote of his recently was that the entire year of 2006 was the 'absolute nadir of Western popular culture'

Re: Another High Street Rebrand

There's a fair bit on the web about IKEA's tweaked logo - but I can't see much mention of their new typeface. I'm assuming it's custom; it's less ugly than Verdana but not as nice as Futura; and at the moment all three are being used all over my local store. Maybe it'll be in universal use in about...

There are almost as many posts here complaining about it than there are posts over there.
Hmm. I’d suggest looking at Moz’s post history.

This thread should be called 'June is the end of May'.
Ask Pete for that one.
I'm not in the business of forcing people to use my unoriginal terrible puns.

Re: TV Forum Watch News and Information Board

I feel like there's a lot of people missing jokes on TVF at the moment. Perhaps the SarcMark's day has finally come.
