I applied later than usual this year, and luckily got notification that they would begin paying from the 14th September (When Glasgow Uni starts freshers) but nothing came until yesterday and they told me the DWP had not verified my Nat Insurance card so I had to send it ...

Oh... I thought I was being all smart by thinking the strike caption was up as a witty reference to the anniversary of the 1979 strike and that after the three month were up we'd see a wonderous "Welcome Back to ITV" ident. Clearly I was wrong.
