Re: TV Forum Watch News and Information Board
Really fascinated by the guy obsessed with doubling down on false equivalence between MSNBC and Fox News, even in unrelated threads.

Indeed, thanks for the identification. What an obscure cut for them to use! It's not as if it has ever been broadcast in the US before.

Re: BBC News Music used by WQHT Hot 97 New York?!
Indeed! ClearChannel stations (probably a near-monopoly across the entire country, honestly) heavily promote their proprietary "iHeartRadio" listening apps, but I don't know how good it is. Honestly NPR/local public radio are the only radio stations with accessible websites and podcasts. I find WNYC ...

BBC News Music used by WQHT Hot 97 New York?!
Obviously this forum isn't dedicated to American radio, but this is amusing enough to share.
This week I discovered that Hot 97 in NYC, perhaps the most influential Hip-Hop/R&B radio station in the United States, is illicitly using a 1999 David Lowe BBC News theme as its headline bed for morning ...

Re: Your phone home screen + top apps
I'm lazy. Most of the emails are things like Obama's emails, which I'd feel bad unsubscribing from.

Re: Lillibullero
Ah, that's fascinating, thanks for the insight!
Am I crazy, or are there multiple versions of the Newshour theme? One sounds incredibly ominous (think BBC Nine O'Clock News in the late 80s), while others sound more light, yet still authoritative.

Re: The new iPad
I've rooted my Kindle Fire and put an Ice Cream Sandwich ROM onto it, and I have to say, it's fantastic. ICS is a fantastic Android revision, and I'm certain that it'll gain some market share. I feel like Microsoft would have been better off merging the WP7/Metro 8 lines.

What do you listen on?
It's since the 2007 change always been played in its shortened form been played every couple of hours on shortwave and the Africa option online. However I don't think I've ever heard it on the DAB UK version except for last Wednesday when they played it for the 80th birthday ...

Lillibullero
I'm an avid listener of the BBC World Service, and I've noticed that in the past two weeks or so they've been playing Lillibullero again. It's not played every hour, but probably ~65% of the time, in lieu of the rather tired David Lowe theme from 2007.
