Re: The All New Northern Ireland

Eamonn is tremendous, as is most of those involved in reporting the scandal from the BBC through to the Belfast Telegraph. Obviously I may have biased opinion, but this came from a few people I have been speaking to and they seem to agree.

Just how useless is Ken Reid.

His performance the other ...

Re: Airport "security"

In the past 3 years, I've never been asked for ID at the City Airport... Online Check-in, they just look at the printout and that's it.

Quite disturbing. Even the people at the gate don't check!

Re: News website publishing systems

BBC News uses a custom built and archaic publishing system, the Guardian is also custom designed also I think, but TimesOnline and Sky News use WEBSIDESTORY

BBC News uses a thing called 'Content Production System' funnily enough, CPS for short. Whilst it may be old, it's been custom developed ...

When I get something delieved by Royal Mail Special Delivery (before 12 delivery) - it turns up around 4pm....

All sounds well and good they deliver to NI the next day, however, as it's supposed to be before 12, if you check the tracking ID on the website shortly after 12, you find out it's been ...

Re: Please place the item on the belt

The machine gets confused if you buy multiple items i.e. greater than three.

More often than not, it complains you haven't put it on the belt and then when you put the one you've just scanned down, it seems to correct itself.

The staff just don't seem that bothered, and just throw the things down ...

Re: Indian Call centres

Has anyone had it when your phone rings, you answer it, and their reaction on the phone is as if you rung them?

That's because their phone rings too, thanks to the joy of automated dialling.

Yep but they know they're ringing you as they work in outbound calls, when I answered my phone it was a ...

It's amusing we have the opposite here - an indian company has set up a call centre in Belfast employing people to answer the phones to Indian consumers.... I wonder if they hate ours as ...

Will Hillary be coming with Bill I wonder? Nice little election shot for her given the number of Americans who think they're Oirish 'cos they once ate a potato.

It was discussed but no one knows yet, but more than likely will just for that reason - perfect opportunity for a few votes!

Not only ...

The latest word is sometime shortly after May 8 when the NI Stormont Assembly is back up and running.

There is scheduled, an substantially cheesy shot of him and the Irish PM along with the two leaders of the assembly standing at Stormont and waving to everyone below. Infact there's several ...

It's a difficult one, so most would be going on the side of caution and not reporting it at all. However as you say, if you can't mention the fact it was the same guy then it's not really another story.

Under normal circumstances, it would be a case for jigsaw identification where people can put the pieces together to find out who the person is.

There's nothing to worry about though, more so it was BBC Editorial Policy being the reason for their judgement in not naming him. Funny how if they are ...
