Re: Another High Street Rebrand

The new branding for Boots is installed at St Pancras International station - the main store located at the rear of the station is undergoing a major refurbishment (hasn't been done since around 2007 apparently). Looks quite nice without the oval. A fair bit of the VAG branding still in place, there...

Re: TV Forum Watch News and Information Board

It's wrong I deliberately avoid Eurovision (and RND/CIN) threads as in general it's just a load of crap...

Mostly down to TT - but this year I regret stumbling into it.

Re: Terrorism

My opinion is that curtailments on reporting of terrorism would go a long way to improving things. I personally don't see what videos of people screaming does to help society, but they certainly help those responsible instil fear and panic throughout the population. I think reporting it in purely f...

But I have no idea who it is, or what is being discussed. The google is your friend. Use it. A sad day for television.

It also means some of the very best Kay at Pebble Mill captures have also disappeared!

Re: Public Transport in your particular part of the region

The plan is for GTR routes on the GN to go over to the TL brand post 2018 when the St Pancras canal tunnels open and most services from Cambridge, Peterborough and the further north run through to Brighton and St P, and the inner suburban network will run into 9-11 at KX. I think GTR even have a new...

So keep on the look out for that.
Oh god it's in the same county as me.

Re: Public Transport in your particular part of the region

A trick I discovered with the rail vouchers was you could load them onto an Oyster card. So instead of having a £60 refund expire as they planned, I got it put onto my Oyster and it sat there happily for another 12 months until I happened to be in London again :) And through doing that you could ge...

BBC London rebrands...

BBC London is now BBC Radio London...

Apparently to celebrate 45 years on air. Hardly worth the change, though one thing I note from their tweets is their visible branding has changed their URL from bbc.co.uk/london to bbc.co.uk/radiolondon - hardly worth changing!

Re: Public Transport in your particular part of the region

Thameslink and Great Northern are now under the auspices of Govia, who also run Southern and London Midland. Since July 25th the whole of Southern, Thameslink, Great Northern and Gatwick Express are all technically one franchise, but they retain their individual brands. First Cap Con finished almos...

Re: Windows 9 is now Windows 10

I decided not to be sensible and wait, and took the plunge this morning on my home PC. It took all of 15 minutes for me, everything seems to be behaving perfectly well so I'm very happy so far. Even my NVidia drivers work fine, though mine is an onboard Intel/NVidia switch mode thing so perhaps it ...
