Re: TV Live Forum Watch News and Information Board
Jeeze that BBC thread is making my head spin. And warnings and bans for "oneness bashing" is adding to the brain melt. There seems to be a growing list of topics that could get you a ban or warning. Hard to keep up with and it's off-putting tbh. The whole atmosphere of the place feels off ...

Re: The Tesco & other non-Morrisons supermarket thread
I went there yesterday on the way home from work. It's a decent setup, and the lines you get in there are similar to what you'd expect in a Tesco Express or Sainsbury's Local. The alcohol is tucked away at the back of the store, with security manning it and checking IDs before you go and look at the...

Re: TV Forum Watch News and Information Board
I know new looks always attract criticism, but the Sky News thread about their Millbank studio has got me down. Post after post of 'it's terrible' - when, objectively, it's not. It may not be to many people's taste, and it could perhaps be used more creatively, but it's a decent flexible studio spa...

WHSmith in Reading has had a nice refit. No more grubby carpet - instead it's got a laminate floor, huge Paperchase style stationery section and a "WHSmith Tech Zone" which looks like something out of the early 2000s. Progress though.
I'll get some photos when I next nip in to town.

Re: Windows 9 is now Windows 10
What job do you do at Microsoft exactly? That's nothing you need to concern yourself with. I was just posting my experience of using the internal dogfood builds in my day to day life at Microsoft, along with Office Gemini etc etc. I also happen to be using the public preview builds on my home lapto...

Re: Windows 9 is now Windows 10
The internal builds, the ones that haven't been through all the steps necessary to be made public, are more stable than the public ones, the ones they are trying to use to sell the operating system? This is based on what exactly? Based on working there, and using a later build than one which is pub...

Re: Windows 9 is now Windows 10
The internal preview builds are a lot more stable than the public ones. Expect some better stability in the next few builds when they're pushed out in the coming weeks.

Forgetting the health and safety issue of no lights though. Emergency lighting won't be sufficient to keep a shop open.barcode wrote:some places can still override the till and do thing even with out power. Thats by n by.

Re: The Tesco & Other non-Morrisons Supermarket Thread
My local Lidl has demolished itself and is being rebuilt from the ground up. I saw one in Norfolk doing something similar last year - I think they are better off spending their money on a modern logo, a name change and some decent edible food Lidl appear to have a thing about demolishing stores and...

Re: Europe - in or out?
Having been brought up in one of the most economically deprived areas of the EU, I've seen first hand the benefits that EU membership brings - access to the EU Social Fund, Objective 1 and the ERDF being some of the most important grants that Wales benefits from - with a further £2bn being pumped in...
