Re: Another High Street Rebrand
Yes, the tabloid headlines write themselves: "Not-So-Great British Rail", "What's So Great About Great British Rail?" etc. I could sortof understand it is they were going to go for initials GBR and use it commonly like SNCF in France but it would take years to catch on. Anyway, ...

Re: Another High Street Rebrand
So a mini-revival of British Rail is coming, with Network Rail updating their Station Signage and Wayfinding guidelines, and the government's plan to unify the Railways under the Great British Railways name, and a re-assertion of the "Double Arrows" icon. https://up.metropol247.co.uk/marti...

Re: The Labour Party: Where Next?
I just had an email back from Labour, I am now no longer a member. I feel a bit sad about it, but with the direction Corbyn & Momentum are taking the party, I really feel like I cannot be a member any longer. I may rejoin in future if things look up and Momentum get flushed out, but until then....

Re: Windows 9 is now Windows 10
Windows 2000 was from the NT line of OSs. A business version of Windows. ME followed the 16/32bit Consumer line. It wasn't until Windows XP that NT was re-orientated to replace the consumer codebase. And is the reason you got XP Home and XP Pro. After that, Windows Vista was going to be a HUGE chang...

Re: Windows 9 is now Windows 10
it seems unfinished to me particularly the settings and control panel. That's the one bit of 10 that I don't like either. Some bits in Settings, some still in Control Panel. I've taken to simply using God Mode for everything in that area. Then, at least, you find things first time. The plan is to m...

The term for this kind of mix is Unicase... And yea it does feel a bit all over the place.Nick Harvey wrote:What an absolutely dreadful mix of, what appear to be, upper and lower case letters.

Re: The next big leader?
Today we see Burnham effectively secure the second preference vote of Corbyn's supporters. Whether that'll do him any good or not, I don't know. Today David Milliband has joined the ranks of Labour party ghosts warning against Corbyn and trotting out the tired rhetoric that he will be unelectable. ...
