I think the Election will be called on Wednesday 24th March, this stopping a budget but also given 6 weeks of campaigning
Why would it stop a budget? Isn't Parliament normally dissolved a few days after the election is called to allow the completion of some of the matters in progress.
Either way ...

Re: The OFFICIAL* Metropoll election sweepstake
I think that it is not really politics when people throw around colours and brands (which are no longer arguably related to the doctrines they once were up to the 'eighties: I can't really define the Conservative Party's doctrine other than 'cosy for rich people,' and nowadays mainly 'NOT Labour ...

Re: General Election strategy
Perhaps, if you really agree with Party X's views mostly, but you know that they won't have a hope in the next election, but you really hate Party Y's views, and Party Z are the only plausible opposition to them, then perhaps to compromise, you have to vote Party Z, strategically, to avoid Party ...

Re: General Election strategy
I don't know whether I agree with this sentiment, but I'm currently thinking democracy seems to consist of a dictator, but you get to chose which one you like out of two, and the knowledge that if you didn't vote, the result would probably be exactly the same.

Re: I Hate Roundabouts
I've got one of those double mini-roundabouts down the road, near where I am at the moment.
It is essentially two mini-roundabout connected by a tiny road in between.
It contains five exits (two A-roads at a staggered crossroads and another road)

Re: Can I get some broon sauce with that?
I ordered a Domino's with a friend the other day on-line. In fact, I think that that is perhaps my first on-line purchase (though it was on the friend's account)! I don't have a credit card or debit card. However I remembered reading a thread on here where people complained about the awful archaic ...

Coincidences ...
Some may be skeptical, uber rationalists, some may believe in some sort of cosmic joker, but whatever, coincidences are notable.
Over the past two days, I've had a series of coincidences, all, coincidentally :p, linked to one another (with one exception [Coincidence No. 1]).

I take it that the pick and mix market was fairly lucrative ? Notice that WHSmith have introduced it, and that M&S are to have a go.

Re: It's All In The Name
It's significantly more complex and labyrinthine if you choose to take it back to the beginnings of pay cable TV in the UK, for me that'd be 1995. So, for me we'd be looking at:

The Food Standards Agency (I think that's their name) have introduced their food traffic light idea. Speculation is, is that the other de facto 'what's inside guides' are to avoid the traffic lights, because they don't want a 'red' on their product, so they've euthamised it, with confusing rda, and ...
