Re: Another High Street Rebrand

Cant think what difference that made to fit outs? tbh the thing that got me was their claim it would cost £10m as if that was new money they'd need to find. The majority of clubcard price branding is replaced every few weeks anyhow bar some end of aisle signage which again needs replaced in due cou...

Re: Another High Street Rebrand

Why you'd want a trolley 1/2 way round the shop is a mystery. When you realise you've bought too much and have no hands free. compared to Sainsbury's and Tesco which have had 1 refresh in the last decade. No Tesco have had a few... they went from the light blue to the "Hello" branding wit...

Re: Old supermarket signage

I didn't even know there ever was a homebase there! It was gone by 2008, the furthest back Google streetview went, and I've only been going to Dundee since 2011 so never saw it. Yes it was demolished around 2008 to make way for the houses that have been being built for 500 years. I don't think it w...

Re: Old supermarket signage

The one at Dundee Riverside still has one as well... which is interesting as I don't think that store was even built until the mid-late 90s, after they'd stopped being a normal part of Tesco architecture (though maybe the store's older than it looks). And the Tesco in Monifieth still had the old WM...

Re: The Barclays and other non-Lloyds/TSB Bank thread

Hadn't realised that cashback was now awkward until I needed £30 in cash and didn't have my wallet - can't do it on contactless / Apple Pay except at PayPoint shops - Tesco now only offer it at customer service and you need the card itself In the end had to ask a friend with an RBS account to do an ...

Re: The Tesco & other non-Morrisons supermarket thread

Tesco have installed big massive LCD customer facing screens rather than the traditional two line LED panels they used to have. Strange to see any sort of investment in the manned checkouts.

Re: The Very Official McDonalds (and other fast food outlets) Thread

oh so does silverlink no longer have delivery drivers at it because it was an absolute nightmare last time i went? You really felt you were inconveniencing the drivers by daring to use at is a restaurant. Honestly, not too sure but I know you can't order online from the place at all. It's only 'Sil...

Re: The Very Official McDonalds (and other fast food outlets) Thread

I know there's one up here to cover the McDonalds at Silverlink which is, and always has been, one of the busiest in the country. Believe there's a second one at Byker aswell to cover the Newcastle area even known you can still weirdly order from Byker DT aswell. oh so does silverlink no longer hav...
