Wave FM becomes Pure Radio

So DC Thompson have replaced their Dundee based station Wave FM with Pure Radio, a national station that was DAB only. Lots of odd bits about the station, seems quite experimental, with claims of "only news when it matters" and less, yet still regionalised, adverts. https://www.dctmedia.co.uk/brands...

Has the retro )) in the breadcrumb trail always been there or am I just noticing?
Think it’s the first time it’s been there since we moved to this theme. Took a while to remember where it was hidden. Please respond is back too.

Really fed up with all the continuous complaining about the BBC Breakfast set. It’s incessant.
It's the insistence they use the sport set bc it's better that annoys me. Yeah and Granada's set is also better, why not use that?

I've started to like how you click the topic title over the road and it takes you to the latest unread post rather than the first post.

Any objections to me changing the behaviour on here to match? No? Good. Will do that later.
Think I've got it working...

We get FT free through work (although having to use SSO with 2FA is annoying to just read an article) and I agree its excellent. Mind Janine Gibson is fantastic as an editor so it is somewhat to be expected. Buzzfeed under her was also spectacular.

Re: Intu takeover called off

There is no chance Lakeside, Trafford, Metrocentre or even Merry Hill are at risk medium term. These are the centres with a future, and will easily find a buyer. It's the town centre ones, including the now semi-permanently half demolished Broadmarsh, which I see as far less certain. Eldon Square i...

I've never been a fan of the letters in apps. Office 365 is particularly annoying when it tries to do initials of generic mailboxes. Suffice to say things shall be staying the same over here... although apparently we can use gravatar now, that must be a new feature :/ Edit - apparently we've been ab...

Re: The Tesco & other non-Morrisons supermarket thread

You're thinking of the contactless card limit. The Google Pay and Apple Pay limit at Sainsbury's is £999. What's the deal with refunds on Google Pay / Apple Pay? I once paid for something in Argos on Apple Pay but when they brought it out realised it was too small so asked for a refund. They had no...
