Re: The Very Official McDonalds (and other fast food outlets) Thread
McDonald's to 'rethink' prices after sales fall https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c728313zkrjo I thought this was quite an interesting story - i don't eat too many mcdonalds (and can't say i ever have - it's one of those things which sometimes fills a hole on a long journey but other than that no...

Re: There an election this year.....
Yep - Liz Truss's seat here in Norfolk too - apparently she got a fair bit of stick when she was out canvassing - I live a bit far out in no mans land for her to pay me a visit but I would have liked to have spoken to her- not to be abusive, but to genuinely challenge her on why she had never really...

Re: There an election this year.....
So what did everyone think of that election? I was surprised when the exit poll appear, it proved what I was thinking Labour wouldn't get beyond 1997 result. I have to wonder why So many polls were thinking labour would get 450 and the Tories would get 80 odd seats. Lib dems could have gotten to 80...

Re: What happened to TV mocks?
I think the very short answer is that they are pretty pointless for the most part.
Only real reason I can think of would be for a portfolio / showreel or to teach yourself how to do something with the software.
Other than that, why bother?

Re: High Street chain collapse sweepstake
Not a high street store, but I just noticed that Oregon Scientific seems to have gone out of business. The UK company was struck off in February last year and there are no new products showing up on Amazon. Bit of a shame that. Had a few of their weather stations and radio controlled clocks over the...

Re: The Technology Thread
If your phone had been a Samsung and had failed in a similar way, you would have almost certainly had to send it away. At least Apple has a network of stores in fairly easy reach.

Have you not considered a decent pair of wireless buds? I wouldn’t be without my AirPods Pro, not perfect but great for on the go and it is nice not having to fight the cable

Re: With all the recent inflationary price rises, is there stuff you just won’t pay for now?
I've gone from contract phones to PAYG SIM Only with 1pMobile. Fortunately I was able to pay for a mid-range Samsung upfront which negates the cost of the handset from my mobile costs. Yeah, forgot about mobile phones… same here, just on SIM only plans and purchased my phone outright. Probably 10 y...

With all the recent inflationary price rises, is there stuff you just won’t pay for now?
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-68250127.amp Prompted by news of the recent Ring doorbell price increase (personally, I find the notion of paying a monthly sub for a door bell insanity) are there things that technically, you could of course afford, but just cross the line of what you are prepa...
