There are basic economics to be factored in here. As you said yourself, out of your group (which is an extreme example and helps my argument), there are 19 other people spending money on drinks in pubs where they can have a smoke. Some people only smoke when they drink. Thats a lot of potential cust...

But with a smoking "area", surely all the smokers would spend their evening there smoking, and if their none-smoking friends want to join them, they'll have to sit in the smoking area. Well they have the option to not sit with their friends in a non-smoking room or go and join them in the...

As soon as the government start to look at the appauling (and by every definition FAR worse) pollution from cars, they can have a word with me about smoking a fag in an air conditioned pub.

The hypocracy is astonishing and insulting.

I agree. Its pug fugly. It could only possibly be useful as a location for the new Dr Who series, and not without a digital touch up here and there.

A good club should always have a DJ, and a seperate operator for the lights in my opinion. Nothing works better than a good set of vari-lights. You are man of expensive taste. VL's are over-spec'd for club use to be honest. Cleaning and servicing charges alone would be a reason not to leave them pe...

There's no need to set-up gags for me. I am a comedy legend.

Besides, there's bags of material in you. And round you, I shouldn't wonder.

I reckon I'm the only one left without a DVD player of any sort. The idea of buying a playback only machine just didn't seem satisfactory to me when the format started. Not for the price they were, certainly. Now my local supermarket has players for £38 (albeit unknown brands) so I suppose I should ...

I had to vote for The Broons but I'm just as fond of Wullie. Its almost odd to think that *not* everyone got one book or the other at Christmas (they rotated year about you see). My mum still gets them, although they are now compendiums of Dudley D Watkins work from the 1940's onwards, rather than t...
